When is a black man not a black man?

When he is a fully functioning human being, full of passion, compassion, clarity of right and wrong. Responsible. A seeker of truth. He is not of any color.

Such a person is Johnathan Gentry. He happens to be black and he is speaking to a black issue, but his message of “change” applies to all of us when something is wrong. We have to step up to the plate and change things ourselves or risk giving up our power to effect change to others.
